Life Is Full of Challenges

TOPS NEWS

Nine TOPS and one KOPS were present for the March 20 meeting of Imperial TOPS NE0267. Donna was the best loser for the week. She also opened the last wrapping on the “Pass the Gift” game and received a nice collection of small gifts.

Fruits-and-Vegetables“Make It Up As You Go”

Instead of a Yes-Yes/No-No, another item was added to the “Make It Up As You Go” team contest. The first week’s challenge was to walk 10 minutes (or around the block) every day; this week’s challenge is to eat at least two servings each of fruits and vegetables every day. Week’s scores: Team 1: 21 points; Team 2: 29 points.

Taking Care of Business

Donna and Cheryl will provide food for the April 13 Community Center Dinner. TOPS State Recognition Days will be May 9 and 10 in Grand Island, with the theme, “Find Your Inner Hula.”
The group also discussed more details for their upcoming Open House on April 24, a celebration of TOPS’ 45 years in Imperial. Cheryl has ordered charms for current and new members.

Interesting! I, too, have entered a challenge in Spark People -- for the Blue Indigo group,Our challenge this week is to do 90 minutes of cardio. Can you all walk outside yet? I just had my first walk yesterday.

Thanks, Yvonne. One of the other ladies in the TOPS group set it up, I just maintain it. I've been walking off and on -- got four days in last week, when it wasn't too cold and windy. We find our team contests are most effective -- what we might not do for ourselves, we'll do for the "team." Thanks for commenting! I think you're the first!
