Six TOPS and one KOPS were present at the June 26 meeting of Imperial TOPS NE0267. Barb was the best loser, and Judy received the Kept It Off award. Judy was also the best loser for the month of June. Karen S. won some cash in the Ha-Ha drawing.Incoming Leader Karen S. chose Barb as Weight Recorder and Shirley as Assistant Weight Recorder. Donna will plan the weekly programs. Cheryl will continue to take care of publicity and publish the blog.

“A New Leaf” was the theme for the installation of officers. Karen S. gave pens, leaf charms, leaf-shaped self-stick notes to all members, and handmade bookmarks and officers’ charms to the past year’s officers. She also distributed calendars with printed suggestions or inspirational quotes for each day of July.Recipe from the Imperial TOPS Cookbook
Crockpot Pineapple Chicken
3 Chicken breasts, split, skinned and bonedPepper
Paprika
20 oz. pineapple, drained, unsweetened tidbits
2 T mustard, Dijon-style
Soy sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
Arrange chicken in crockpot. Sprinkle with pepper and paprika. Mix soy sauce, pineapple and mustard together; pour over chicken. Add minced garlic. Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 9 hours or on HIGH 3 to 4 hours. Makes 6 servings.
Per serving: 210 calories; 4 g fat; 73 mg cholesterol; 153 mg sodium.
