Meeting Report:
Six TOPS and one KOPS were present at the October 30 meeting of Imperial TOPS NE0267. Lorna was the Best Loser for the week and for the month.
Karen started the meeting with some stretching exercises. Cheryl will lead stretching exercises at next week’s meeting. Barb and Shirley provided Halloween games for the rest of the meeting. Lorna will present next week’s program.
The Week’s Challenges
The two challenges for the week – a “Cut” and a “Burn” – will be extended through the month of November, in order to help make them habits.
- Stretch for at least 5 minutes twice a day.
- Plate Power. Use the USDA MyPlate guidelines for a balanced diet: A 9-inch plate divided into 3 parts: 1/4 grains, 1/4 lean protein, and 1/2 fruits and vegetables, with an added serving of dairy.
Giving Back
Donna and Cheryl will provide a dessert and salad for the Senior Center Sunday dinner on the 9th.
Contest
The Stuff-a-Turkey contest will end on November 26.
