TOPS believes that real people
Judy was the best loser for the week and for the month, and Cheryl won a little cash in the Ha-Ha drawing. The “Yes-Yes” for the next week is to eat small portions; the “No-No” is sugared drinks. Donna and Shirley will provide food for the Senior Center Sunday dinner on July 14.
- Come in all shapes and sizes;
- Aren't perfect;
- Are real, or honest, with themselves;
- Are real with others, especially in a TOPS chapter setting;
- Take the first step, knowing that weight loss is not a quick fix;
- Eat real food;
- Get moving and stay moving;
- Have fun, because if it’s not fun, they know they won’t stick with it;
- Live in the real world;
- Reach out to help and ask for help;
- Need a pat on the back;
- Can take off pounds sensibly and keep off pounds sensibly.
Because of Independence Day, the next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 3. Shirley will present a program on “Red, White, and Blue.”
TOPS Club meets from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Imperial Community Center, with weigh-ins beginning at 8:30. For more information about TOPS, phone Cheryl at 883-0265, go to www.tops.org. The first meeting is always free!
