Four TOPS and one KOPS were present at the January 29 meeting of Imperial TOPS NE0267. Barb was the best loser for the week and also won the Kept-It-Off Award! The Best Loser for the month was Donna – her third in a row! Cheryl won a little cash in the Ha-Ha drawing.Challenges
To recognize Heart Month, the week’s challenges are to 1) Eat a red fruit or vegetable every day; and 2) Do an exercise that increases your heart rate once each day.Contests
The Move, Lose, and Win contest continues, as does the Zipper Contest. A Red Hearts contest will begin next week and end the first week in March, with a cash prize for the most red hearts, representing weight loss. Gains will earn a black heart.Barb presented a program called Good News about Bad Habits.
- Skipping breakfast is okay unless you’re a child or a farmer, but be sure to eat a nutritious mid-morning snack.
- Go ahead and be a little messy; household cleansers don’t kill all germs, anyway.
- Harmless gossip can build social bonds – but don’t dump on your friends.
- Short naps can give you a pick-me-up – without caffeine. Lorna will present next week’s program.
