At the May 23 meeting of TOPS NE0267, Diann led a discussion
on memories and Memorial Day, asking the questions, “What one food reminds you
of your mother, and why?” and “What do you usually do on Memorial Day?” She
also presented a short program on spending our money: Is it better to pay for memorable
experiences, or things? (It depends on what you value.)
Karen S. was the best loser for the week and also received a
yellow rose for her consistent weight loss over the past few weeks.
The Yes-Yes for the week is to exercise for at least 15
minutes per day; the No-No is cookies. The Ha-Ha purse now stands at $3.50.
Cheryl passed out copies of Chapter By-laws that were
revised last week for possible adoption in the next meeting. Shirley will
present next week’s program, and Karen W. will give the program on June 6.
TOPS Club meets every Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the
Imperial Community Center, with weigh-ins beginning at 8:30. For more
information about TOPS, phone Cheryl at 883-0265, go to www.tops.org. The first meeting is always free!
